Welcome! As parents, we often wonder if our children are developing the reading and writing skills they need for their grade level. This quick check-in is designed to help you look at your child's reading habits and skills objectively.

Section 1: Early Literacy (Typically K - 1st Grade)

• Mostly Checks in Section 1: Your child is building their foundational reading blocks! If your child is in 1st grade or above and struggled with these, they may need targeted support in phonics and phonemic awareness.

• Mostly Checks in Section 2: Your child has great foundational skills and is working on becoming a smooth reader. If they struggled here, focusing on fluency and word-attack strategies will help boost their confidence.

• Mostly Checks in Section 3: Your child is tackling complex texts! If they struggled with these checkmarks, they likely read the words well but need help bridging the gap to deep reading comprehension.
